Mr. Rubeo has been engaged in the practice of law in New York, since 1997. He has considerable expertise in all facets of Civil Litigation, Estate Planning, Municipal Law, Real Estate and Insurance Law. In 2018, Mr. Rubeo was appointed to the judiciary, serving as Town Justice for the Town of Mt. Pleasant, New York. 

Mr. Rubeo began his legal career with Carter, Conboy, Case, Blackmore, Napierski & Maloney, P.C., a prestigious law firm practicing throughout the state. During his tenure at Carter Conboy, Mr. Rubeo quickly established a reputation as a superior litigator by successfully defending numerous casualty and other claims brought against his clients, which primarily consisted of municipalities, school districts, universities, and large corporations. In addition, Mr. Rubeo successfully represented many clients across numerous industries in litigating insurance coverage disputes. 

Over the years, Mr. Rubeo steadily expanded his practice, serving as corporate counsel for a variety of retail establishments throughout the Northeastern U.S. His clients include a host of well-known brands such as Freight Liquidators and franchisees of Ashley HomeStores, TrueValue Hardware and ACE Hardware, among others. He works closely with his clients, advising them on a vast array of complex corporate governance matters including corporate structuring and restructuring, commercial real estate leasing and financing, land use and planning, contracts, and related litigation. 

In addition to his law practice and service as a Town Judge, Mr. Rubeo has served the community as a municipal official since 2004. He served with distinction on the Town of Mt. Pleasant Planning Board from 2004 until 2010, when he was appointed to serve on the Mt. Pleasant Town Council. He left this post in 2018 due to his appointment and ultimate election to the position of Town Judge. 

Community Service 

Service to the community has always been of utmost importance to Mr. Rubeo. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Mt. Pleasant Education Foundation for 10 years and served on the Board of Directors of the Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corps for 3 years. Mr. Rubeo routinely represents several not-for-profit religious and philanthropic organizations on a pro bono basis, assisting with their commercial transactions, corporate governance and achieving and maintaining not-for-profit status. These organizations include E-books for Troops, Inc., Chiromission LL American Legion Post 112.
